This fine art inspired bridal editorial was a collaboration between Pittsburgh artists & designers to collide romance and tradition with luxury details and European influence. It took place in Oakland, Pennsylvania in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. Before the wedding ceremony, the bride reflected on the struggles the two had overcome in years past by reminiscing love letters on the rainy morning sill. In celebration of what’s to come, she scripted new promises of the future to her beloved.
After an unplugged intimate ceremony, the two overlooked the city of Pittsburgh on the formal terrace exchanging written vows to one another. After being pronounced man & wife, they took some time to breathe each other in before getting back to the celebration with their loved ones. The reception decor held romantic blooms of white and gold with accents of greenery throughout. The gold tapered candle sticks added an intimate feel to the grand ballroom venue.
The stationery – from the invitations to the place cards on each setting – was all calligraphed by hand on luxurious handmade paper with hopes that every guest would feel personally invited and intentionally thought of. The organic scripts and hand drawn illustrations added an old world feel to the day.
The cake was decorated with white icing and lavished with coordinating calligraphy touches and flora.
